When Energy Doesn’t Lie

Let’s talk about one of my favorite things... energy. Not the kind where you light a candle and chant under the moon (unless you're into that). I’m talking about the unspoken stuff. Your tone. Your patterns. The way you show up when nobody’s watching. It’s your self-worth, your intentions, your boundaries... all rolled into a vibe that people can feel before you say a word. Energy is how you treat yourself... and what you quietly accept. And whether you realize it or not, it’s always broadcasting.

Here’s what I wish someone told me earlier...

You don’t attract what you want. You attract what you are.

And I thought I understood that. I used to say I wanted stability, emotional presence, someone to build with. But over and over, I found myself stuck in connections with men who couldn’t meet me halfway. Emotionally unavailable. Inconsistent. Or just not ready for anything real.

I thought it was always them. I thought the universe had it out for my love life. Until one day, I got a wake-up call I didn’t see coming.

I remember dating a guy who was an absolute shit show, chaos in human form... looked me dead in the eyes and told me I needed to work on myself.

ouch.

And the worst part? He wasn’t wrong.
I’ll never forget how humbling it was to have someone I didn’t even respect call me out on my own bullshit. That moment was everything I needed.

I had become so used to surviving that I didn’t know how to fully receive. I said I wanted peace but had gotten comfortable with dysfunction. I looked chill on the outside... but inside, I was guarded and bracing for the worst.

That was the shift.

I stopped blaming bad timing or bad luck. I started owning the energy I was putting out. I softened. I showed up more open. More grounded. More honest about what I needed ...and what I would no longer tolerate.

And everything changed. Not overnight. But enough to notice. Love, work, money, friendships... it all started to reflect back what I was finally willing to be.

So if you keep attracting mess, ask what part of you still lives in it. If people keep ghosting, ask where you’ve gone quiet on your own needs.

This isn’t about shame. It’s about power.

Because your energy? It teaches the world how to treat you.
And when your energy changes... your life does too.
