Advertising & Sponsored Content Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Partnerships help support independent publishing. This policy explains how we keep paid content clearly separate from our editorial work, and what we won't accept.
Types of paid content
- Advertising: ads created by a brand and placed on our site or in a digital issue.
- Sponsored editorial: content paid for by a partner and produced with our editors.
- Brand partnerships and collaborations: projects, products, or events created together with a partner.
Clear labeling
Paid content is always identified with a clear label such as "Sponsored," "Paid partnership," or "Advertisement," together with the partner's name. Labels appear at the top of sponsored stories and on any card or link that leads to them. Paid content should never be mistaken for our editorial stories.
Editorial control
Partners don't review, approve, or influence our editorial stories. For sponsored editorial, the partner may help shape the topic, but our editors keep final approval over anything published under the Her Niche Life name, including accuracy and tone. We don't sell positive reviews or coverage.
Our readers come first
Many of our readers are teenagers. We won't accept advertising or sponsorship for:
- alcohol, tobacco, vaping, or cannabis products
- gambling or betting
- weapons
- diet pills, weight-loss products, or cosmetic procedures
- adult content or dating services
- payday loans or high-risk financial products
- anything unlawful, deceptive, or that makes unsupported health claims
We may decline any partnership that we feel doesn't fit our readers or values.
Reader data
We don't sell or share reader personal information with advertisers, and we don't currently use third-party ad networks or tracking on this site. If that ever changes, we'll update our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice first.
Creators and contributors
Contributors must tell us about any paid relationship with a brand mentioned in their work, and that relationship will be disclosed to readers.
