Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Good stories should be easy to reach. We want Her Niche Life to be readable and usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.
What we do
- Pages use semantic headings, landmarks, and a "skip to content" link.
- Navigation, forms, and controls work with a keyboard and show a visible focus indicator.
- Every form field has a visible label.
- Layouts adapt to phones, tablets, and desktops, and text can be enlarged with browser zoom.
- We aim for text descriptions on meaningful images, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Smooth scrolling and transitions are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- We use system fonts and no autoplaying audio or video.
Known limitations
- Some images in older stories, carried over from our previous website, don't yet have text descriptions. We are reviewing them.
- Our digital magazine issues are presented in Flipsnack, a third-party reader whose accessibility we don't control. If you can't read an issue, contact us and we'll help you get the content in another way.
Our approach
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as our reference point. This statement describes our ongoing work; it is not a claim of formal conformance, and the site has not been independently audited.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on the site is hard to use, email editors@hernichelife.com with the page address and a short description of the problem. We will review it and do our best to fix it or offer an accessible alternative.
